Thousands of disc-jockeys have worked in major market radio and television. To be among the chosen few who fans remember and speak of with praise and affection is a true honor.

Jim Lounsbury is one of the chosen few... people still talk about the tall, handsome and genuinely sincere disc-jockey who made their teen years very special. They talk about the record hops, radio shows and TV dance shows Jim hosted. For many he was their introduction to rock and roll... he was the one who gave them star status among their peers... But most important of all, whoever he met remembers... his positive attitude toward all things.

New York had Alan Freed, Philadelphia had Dick Clark, Houston had Paul Berlin, Pittsburgh had Porky Chedwick, LA had Peter Potter and Chicago had Jim Lounsbury.

"...I know Jim is up there having a great time with all our idols in his Celestial 'Record Hop.' It will be one more thing to go to heaven for. The Good Lord gave us the music, who knows, maybe he boogies too..."
